Itinerary

We depart from our homes and set off to the Somerset coast with a stop on the way for lunch. We arrive at our hotel in time to freshen up before our evening meal. We have two full day excursions; we visit the outstanding setting of Cheddar Gorge and its breathtaking caves and awe-inspiring cliffs. After our sufficient visit to the Gorge, we head to Bristol for the rest of the afternoon (3 hours). If shopping isn’t your thing, then there is so much to do in the city. Another of our excursions takes us to the ancient county of Somerset for ample free time and then on to Wells, England’s smallest city with its cobbled streets, history, magnificent cathedral, and unique moated Bishops Palace. We also have two days at leisure in Weston-Super-Mare with its fabulous beaches, many eateries and new pier. On our final day after breakfast, we head home with a stop on the way for refreshments.
