At Moving PEOPLE, we’re more than just a transport provider – we’re in the business of creating memorable journeys. With a fleet of 31 vehicles, including luxury touring coaches and spacious double-decker buses, we cater to everything from school transport and private hire to international tours and our own Door-to-Door holidays and day excursions.

 

Our story began in 2007, when Stuart and Margaret Coates founded Moving PEOPLE with a vision of delivering high-quality, customer-focused travel. Over the years, their dedication and passion turned the company into a thriving business, built on reliability, professionalism, and a deep commitment to serving our customers. Today, we proudly transport over 4,000 pupils daily and provide enriching excursions and holiday experiences to thousands of travellers.

 

In 2025, Stuart and Margaret made the decision to step back into semi-retirement and handed over the reins to Glen Chamberlain, the company’s former Chief Operating Officer. Glen has played a pivotal role in our success since joining in 2014, leading our team with expertise and dedication. Under his leadership, the business has grown by 60%, expanded our holiday and excursion offerings, and achieved the prestigious Earned Recognition status from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. Now, as the sole owner of Moving PEOPLE, Glen is committed to building on the strong foundations laid by Stuart and Margaret, ensuring the company continues to thrive.

 

Our Team

 

Moving PEOPLE is all about the people – both our customers and our incredible team who keep everything running smoothly. We take great pride in recruiting passionate, customer-focused individuals across all areas of the business, from driving and administration to engineering and operations.

 

Operations & Administration

 

• Howard – General Manager, ensuring smooth operations and strategic growth.

 

• Ken – Head of Operations, overseeing daily logistics with expertise and precision.

 

• Rachel – Operations Administrator, handling everything from scheduling to invoicing.

 

• Noah – Our enthusiastic trainee, supporting all aspects of administration and vehicle tracking.

 

• Jane & Colette – The masterminds behind our holidays and excursions, ensuring every trip is perfectly planned.

 

• John – Responsible for creating school and service information packs to keep our drivers fully prepared.

 

Engineering & Vehicle Maintenance We maintain our own vehicles to the highest safety and reliability standards. Our skilled team, led by Joseph, includes Joel, Reggie, Steven, Colin, and Claire, and their hard work has earned us recognition as a Green Operator by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

 

Our Drivers The heart of our company lies with our drivers, who ensure every journey is a safe, smooth, and an enjoyable experience. With extensive training and a passion for customer service, our team goes above and beyond to make every trip special.
