Christmas Itinerary
Day Two - Christmas Eve. Travel through beautiful Bilsdale, often known as 'Little Switzerland', before continuing to Helmsley with its impressive market square and choice of places for lunch. Later, descend the spectacular Sutton Bank on the way to Thirsk, famously associated with James Herriot, before returning to the hotel for dinner and more festive entertainment. Details of local Midnight Mass services will be available at reception.
Day Three - Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Enjoy a relaxed morning at leisure, perhaps opening presents or taking a gentle stroll before sitting down to a traditional Christmas Day lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy the King's Speech with a slice of Christmas cake or unwind with a festive film, before this evening's Christmas Day buffet followed by a quiz and music from the resident DJ.
Day Four - Boxing Day
Visit the ancient city of Durham, a wonderful place to explore at Christmas. Dominated by its magnificent cathedral and Norman castle, the city offers historic streets, shops, places for lunch and peaceful riverside walks beneath the cathedral bells. Return to the hotel for dinner and a final evening of entertainment.
Return Journey
After breakfast, we leave our break filled with Chrismtas cheer and celebration and begin our journey home.
