In 2003, Stuart Coates retired from Lancashire Constabulary and embarked on a new adventure with Fraser Eagle of Padiham. Joining as an area manager for their rail-replacement operation, Stuart quickly gained invaluable experience in meeting rail operators, meticulously planning for pre-planned rail closures, and skilfully handling emergencies. This opportunity laid the foundation for his passion in providing seamless transportation solutions.

Four years later, in 2007, Stuart seized an exciting opportunity that would shape the future of Moving People. He purchased his first coach, intending to have just one. However, the allure of serving the community with superior transportation solutions was irresistible. Persuaded by the potential impact he could make, Stuart expanded his fleet by adding school buses, and soon after, a few more vehicles. As time went on, Moving People experienced steady growth, resulting now in an impressive fleet of 38 vehicles which encompasses touring coaches, double-decker buses, and a selection of single decker buses.
