About the Trip
Say farewell to 2017 in style with this Highland Extravaganza. The Ben Nevis Hotel in Fort William is our venue for celebrating our last holiday of the year with a host of entertainment, food delicacies and plenty of bar products to help you see in the new year in true Scottish style.
Our journey up to our hotel includes a refreshment and a meal stop, in time to freshen up and get ready for the welcome drink in reception before dinner. On Hogmanay, we will have a relaxing day with use of the hotel’s leisure club with lunch included. Then it’s time to get your glad rags on and join us for a glass of bubbly before a delicious 4-course Hogmanay Dinner which will be served and the traditional Scottish entertainment will commence. You will have a glass of bubbly at the Bells! All too soon is time to say farewell, we enjoy a hearty full Scottish breakfast and start our journey home which will include a refreshment stop & a meal stop en route.

You’ll find the Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club a lovely place to stay and relax. Great atmosphere, comfortable surroundings and friendly staff will make sure you are well looked after. Situated only a mile outside of Fort William, known as the outdoor capital of the UK. Fort William is famous for its beautiful Highland scenery and is situated close to the largest mountain in the United Kingdom, the iconic Ben Nevis. There are 119 bedrooms in total in the hotel, all with en suite bathrooms, television, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Free WiFi internet access in public areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will I get picked up?
We have 18 pickup points from Barnoldswick to Blackburn (see back cover). If you are unsure which is the closest to you, either ring us or see your local booking agent who has a detailed list of the pickup points.
How long are the pick-ups?
Our pick up times are 1hr 50min.
Your pick up points and times have changed this year. Why?
Each year we review our pick up places and times to suit as many people as possible. Again, if you have any suggestions, please complete a feedback form.
Why do you do fewer pick-ups than other companies?
From the feedback we have received, our customers have said they do not like to lose half the day doing pick-ups. Therefore we have restricted ours to less than two hours.
Will I have to pay extra for entrance fees?
The cover price of our trips includes any admission charge except those clearly listed in the brochure. For example, Chester Zoo is not included because we also go to Chester and there is little saving for a group booking.
How can I pay?
You can ring us to book and pay the driver on the day. You can also buy your ticket at one of our many booking agents listed in the brochure.
How long will I get at the destination?
Where we have a single destination, we try to give you at least 4 hours. The driver will announce the departure time when you arrive.
Would I be able to take my walker or scooter?
We can accommodate walkers and scooters but please let us know beforehand. Scooters must be able to fold enough to fit into our lockers. If you have a particularly large scooter, please contact us so that we can check the dimensions.
Do the coaches have toilets on board?
All our coaches are executive standard with a toilet and washroom on board. However, on our longer journeys, we stop en route for a comfort / toilet break.
Can I have a window seat?
Our seats are allocated on a first-come-first served at the time of booking and you will be given a seat number as your guarantee. We advise booking early to get your favourite seat, although we think all our seats are great!
I am considering driving to the pick-up point but am worried about leaving my car.
We do a pick up at our base at Junction 7 Business Park, Accrington. This also provides free secure parking for those who would like to join the coach here.
There is a place I think would make a good day out. How can I suggest this?
Each year the trips we run are based on feedback from existing trips and suggestions from passengers. Each coach carries customer feedback cards. If you have any suggestions or anything you would like to tell us, please fill in the form on the coach or take one home and post it later.
I would like to buy my friend a trip for her birthday but I do not know which trip she would prefer?
Our gift vouchers can be used on any of our trips and holidays (space allowing) and we have vouchers available for any value, for both our day trips and our inclusive holidays.
Do you only operate great days out? I was thinking of a longer trip.
We also operate an inclusive Door-to-Door Holiday Programme within the UK, from 4 to 7 days. Please ask the driver for a brochure or call us and we'll happily send you one in the post.
DEPARTURE POINTS AND TIMES
Depending on the destination and distance, we have two directions of travel and four possible departure times. The code shows final pick-up points and times of either BL for BLackburn for BA for BArnoldswick. The © symbol denotes a circular pick-up and drop-off, so those passengers who boarded first will be dropped off first. Please see the list at the back for the departure times at intermediate points.
Sample Coach Plan
This is the standard layout for the coaches and we will strive to ensure that you
can occupy the seat you have booked. However, we reserve the right to provide
a coach with a 49th seat in the centre of the back row, to use a smaller vehicle
if the numbers do not reach our target, or to cancel a trip owing to poor weather
conditions, circumstances beyond our control, or any other reason.
