About the Trip
Blackpool is known for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an old-school amusement park with vintage wooden roller coasters, and the landmark Blackpool Tower, built in 1894, houses a circus, a glass viewing platform and the Tower Ballroom, where dancers twirl to the music of a Wurlitzer organ. With three piers spread along the promenade, we are sure you will have plenty to do and enjoy here.
We have a late start and travel direct to Blackpool and our hotel for lunch. After lunch it should be time for you to check in to your rooms and then leaving you with free time to settle in or explore a little. We have a free day to do as you wish with day excursions to St Annes-on-Sea and Lytham and also a further day trip on the Lancaster Canal over the Lune Aqueduct with lunch included. On the last day we have a free morning before meeting for lunch in the hotel. We later travel directly home. Also included at the hotel this week is a ‘We’ll Meet Again’ celebration evening with themed menu and 1940s sing-a-long, a three-choice three-course menu with coff ee – sample and hear how the ‘Mayflower Spirit Cocktail’ was created, learn about the Imperial and Blackpool ‘Across the Years’ with a lively and entertaining talk, and discover the former Turkish Baths as part of your heritage tour of the hotel. There is a five-choice three-course dinner with coffee on three evenings.
